What were they thinking?





All the windows in St Joseph the Worker, in Turangi, have been replaced. All the coloured acrylic is now clear glass and lots of finer details have been lost, like the coloured light along the top edge of the wall behind the altar (see below).

I think that the reason that churches have coloured windows is to let the light in, but not the view. The atmosphere in this church has been altered tremendously. Some might say vandalised.
